Butters 0 #2 October 18, 2011 The only thing I do different is turning the deployment bag so that the lines are on the bottom of the pack tray instead of the bottom of the container."That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

mccordia 74 #4 October 18, 2011 QuoteAny advice in packing a Specter 170 for a wingsuit jump? Don't use packers like most lazy new jumpers, but learn to pack for yourself. A wingsuit packjob is like any other packjob. Doesn't matter if you pack like shit. As long as you pack symetricly shitty!JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? verticalflyer 11 #6 October 18, 2011 Pack job same as usual, no rotation, no modified container, no extended bridle or increased PC. Symmetry in pack job body and deployment worked so far. I use a Spectre 120 for my wingsuit jumps loaded at 1.5lb/sqft no issues in last 1000 wingsuit jumps.Dont just talk about it, Do it!
mnskydiver688 0 #7 October 18, 2011 With a larger wingsuit I would have to disagree with the no extended bridle suggestion. However, you don't necessarily need a larger PC if it is getting clean air, and it would affect non-wingsuit deployments as well.Sky Canyon Wingsuiters
MrCat 0 #8 October 19, 2011 I love my spectre 170 :) I can pack for myself but tend to use packers (lets not get into why). The only issue I have had was with one packer that was used to packing a slow opening for a cameraman. When they packed for me I tended to get twists on opening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU_3pzg-Jx4 We tried various combinations of packing (more line in container, more/less rolling of the nose) but nothing cured it until I spotted how they packed my pilot chute. They wrapped the pilot chute very very tightly before putting it in the pocket. Next jump I re-packed the pilot chute a lot looser after they had packed it and no more twists !Jump more, post less.
