RMK 3 #1 August 20, 2012 I have a TonFly CC1 helmet with the left side ZKull attachment unused. Would a FlySight work well side mounted. I understand that the optimal place would be back of helmet facing upwards, but has anyone seen differences by side-mounting?"Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"
MrCat 0 #2 August 20, 2012 I had mine mounted on the side of my camera and it didn't get a fix anywhere near as quickly so I moved it back onto the back of my camera Since then I've found out that there is a data item in the csv file called numsv that relates to how many satellites it can 'see' so you could try it. Gaffer tape it to the back of your helmet, try it out and then gaffer tape it to the side and try it out. I seem to recall a thread about this - I've just done a quick search and here it is. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4122792#4122792Jump more, post less.
