Hellis 0 #1 January 9, 2014 The schoolkids that was sure they could build a jetengined fixed wing "thing" that could be landed on skateboardwheels (?) mounted on the belly? Can't remember all the details, but the last thing I remember about it was they tested the engines on the ground racing down a street (or grass?). Have they made it to the incidentsforum yet? gzimmermann 0 #7 January 10, 2014 LOL! Robi would probably say: "Splendid, the more speed you have, the more safe you are. Speed is your friend". Although: With the current setup the glide is already fantastic.
Skybear 0 #8 January 18, 2014 Not sure if they are schoolkids. The domain is registered to Manfred Unger with an email address from Fritz Unger Wind Power Systems in Hannover. This guy founded his company in 2011 when he was 20 years old and produces micro wind power plants. The company has a history of not keeping promises, material break-ups and demonstrating insufficient technological background in their business area. Looks like those daydreamers are aiming for the Darwin Award.
