andrewstewart 0 #1 January 13, 2003 To what extent would using a vented PC (of the correct size) contribute to on-heading openings on a skydive? - when deployed @ terminal with a standard skydiving sail slider. Thanks in advance, - Andrew
TomAiello 26 #2 January 14, 2003 Very little, I believe. At terminal, with a skydiving system, I think there are going to be many variables that are far more important than a vented PC.My personal belief is that F-111 PC's are better, in terms of oscillation and orbiting (hence effect on heading) than any ZP PC's, even vented ZP PC's.That said, I believe that the French jumpers who originally developed vented PC's used them on their skydiving rigs for quite a while before taking them into the BASE environment. They probably have some data on their use in skydiving.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
