Radio frequencies and transmissions

Recommended Posts

Just incase anyone who doesnt look at BLiNC maybe able to help me...........

http://www.blincmagazine.com/forum/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=7&topic_id=15661&mesg_id=15661&page=

Has anyone got knowledge and / or experience in radio frequencies and transmissions?

I am looking at a tower that is kicking out some signal but have no frame of reference on the damage it may or may not cause.
I don’t wish to post too much detail publicly, so please email me if you require more information to be able to help me out.
Please post any “general rules of thumb” about transmissions and radio signals that may help me decide if this is worth looking at.

Many Thanks for any help.

I recently had a conversation with this guy at work who used to work on fm radio transmission towers.
He told me that if you can feel any sensation on your skin or in your arms there is to much power on the antenna and you should climb down (it will hurt you); it will increase as you get closer to the top. I've only come across one in my area that has that much power. P.S. all fm radio stations reduce there power by almost half at night due to less traffic in the airways. So jump at night...
