pringles 0 #1 February 6, 2004 I happened to be watching a motocross show on tv today and at the end they had a little snippet about a knee brace/knee pad. I figured I would post the link incase anyone was interested. They seem a little costly but it may be useful to someone that needs a brace and would also like to wear a pad along with it. Im not sure if this is a common product on the market or not if it is then disregard. So here is the link. http://www.evs-mx.com/product_details.asp?ProductID=68&ProductSubcatID=19 I tried to post this to blinc just before I posted here but I dont know if it worked. If not I will try again later. Matt Matt Davies
riggerrob 643 #2 February 9, 2004 Yes, I saw a similar line of custom knee braces advertised at the Vancouver Outdoor Adventure Show last February. I almost bought one, but it turned out that my knee problem was only a weak tendon (football injury 24 years ago) that never fully healed. My long term solution is a million knee bends to strengthen the weak tendon.
SpecialKaye 0 #3 February 12, 2004 The brace is made by Generation II and is a great thing. One of my base friends has on with the pad and uses it on his base jumps. The brace I got was about three months ahead of his and they didn't offer it when mine was ordered. The brace is around $2200 or more. It's made from a titanium alloy and for those of us with a prior ACL injury/surgery who choose not to reinjure, it's a great thing. I have the old style and wear it whenever I jump (skydive or base) religiously. I just can't seem to justify the money to pay myself...I got my brace through insurance after my surgery and only paid $100 co-pay. It's been on the market now for about 4 years. Good call Matt...will we see you this year at B-Day? Missed you last year. Later, Special Kaye Easter Pig13
