pringles 0 #4 August 23, 2004 I have a couple of questions about the video. For one I have never done a direct bag. I noticed though that the bridle and pc are still hooked up. Most video that I have seen of direct bag they leave the bridle and pc off. Is that just a personal preference or should it actually be left off? Also in the video at around 1:14 there is video of the canopy in flight from the jumpers view point. It appers as thought the inner a and b lines are cascaded. Am I seeing that correctly? Dont most base canopys run a continuous line for the inner a and b lines? What do people think about that? Matt Davies
TomAiello 26 #5 August 23, 2004 Quote...direct bag they leave the bridle and pc off. Is that just a personal preference or should it actually be left off? I've never seen someone leave it on before. It looks weird, but I can't think of any real arguments one way or another. I suppose you could hypothesize some sort of potential bag/bridle entanglement, and personally, I'd always leave it off in the interest of "Keep it Simple, Stupid." Still, I can't think of any real big dangers. Plus, it saves you probably close to 60 seconds of rigging. If you do 300 direct bag jumps this year, that's like 5 hours you save yourself. -- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
