BASE813 0 #3 March 26, 2005 Quote - Updated Terry Forrestal's entry to include info about a film concerning his accident. Also there is a C4 documentary called "seconds to impact" that had Terry featured in it on his first jumps and then eventual death.

phil6086 0 #5 March 28, 2005 I don't have an opinion either way but my question is why craig kuske isn't on the list he was a base jumper who died skydiving last year at xkeys. They say he deployed his reserve at 50 feet
K763 0 #6 March 28, 2005 Hi Nick- Thanks for doing the hardest job there is, followed closely by Jason's... I was in Vegas this weekend and was trying to sweet-talk the security guard at a 51 story casino to let me and my friend jump from the roof. (OK, being a girl does have some advantages...) He was very fascinated but also very AGAINST the idea. He said that on New Year's Eve, at midnight, someone jumped from the 51st floor and impacted and died on the 40th floor parking structure roof. This was news to me! He asserted it was a BASE jump, not a suicide...but I have not heard a peep about it. Does anyone know if this is true or false? At first I was reminded about John A. who is still recovering from high-speed impact in Vegas, but that was Halloween and he's still alive. Then I heard someone died in Italy over the weekend???? Goddess bless us, be safe you guys! Peace, K

valentin 0 #9 March 31, 2005 Hi Nick I notice that a guy is missing in your list (in the second part because this guy died skydiving) His name is Alain Prieur (french) He was one of the first base jumper and a fantastique guy -even if I never meet him. He was mainly a motobike stunt man, he had many world record (still umbited) of jump with motorbike (280 feet, in 88), I saw him when I was a kid jumping 16 busses... and he was off course base jumping with his bike -often with 2 round parachute, one attach to the bike. He was also the first (not sure about that) in 88 to jump without parachute (just a harness under the suit) . Up what I know he died in a routine stunt (for him) passing from a plane to a sale plane , or the other way round, without parachute and something went wrong. There is more infos about him on Google, I think he deserve a place. Good luck. Christophe

They're tight-lipped in Vegas, probably the only way to find what happened to that jumper on New years is from his/her family.
