Threatening to call the cops on another jumper

Recommended Posts

Tree wrote in the ABP thread:

I would be surprised at jumpers calling the law on other jumpers. That would be breaking the prime directive. No matter how much I disagree with another's actions, I could never lift a finger to call johnny law.

My reply was:

I can think of ONE BASE jumper who has threatened to call the cops on another BASE jumper for no good reason whatsoever. His first name starts with T and his last name starts with A and he lives in Twin Falls. I agree with you on this point Tree...its pretty lame.

edit for thread name ~TA
Tom A split my post to a new thread for his own political reasoning. btw-he promised in the past that he would not split threads anymore without the consent of the posts author.

Hmmm. Who is this mystery person?

Can you prove your claim? Or are you just making that up?

Just for factual info, the only person who has approached law enforcement on this issue is (drum roll, please), Miles Daisher.

Nice lies, Johnny. I love you too.

You posted your threat on this forum and then deleted it a day later. Would you like me to re-post it for you?

Since this is unrelated to the ABP, I've removed this discussion from that thread.

Counceling is always an option.

In Belgium we settle things with beer though...

If you want, I'll repost that.

Here's the situation, for those who don't know it.

Tom Aiello is cooking dinner for some friends at his house. Folks show up around 8pm, they eat around 8:30 or so, and are hanging out afterward, doing whatever BASE jumpers do.

Johnny and five or six of his students crash Tom's little gathering around 10pm.

Tom scrambles frantically to try to provide food and drink for all these extra people, who he didn't expect, and who have arrived late. He plays host to the best of his ability.

A few weeks later, Tom hears from a friend that Johnny had told that friend that Tom was "very unwelcoming" and "quite rude" when Johnny came to his house.

Tom is understandably quite upset. He has always shown hospitality to other jumpers in town. He discussed this with his wife, who mentions that Johnny offended her while he was in the house.

Tom has had enough.

He tells Johnny that if Johnny ever sets foot on his property again, he will call the police and have Johnny removed.

I wish I was a bit calmer about this, but the fact is that I'm not. Johnny, this still stands. If you set foot in my house, or anywhere on my property, ever again, I will call the police and have you removed.

Actually my post was totally related to the discussion in the ABP thread as I was replying to a point that Tree made as he was replying to a point that skypuppy was making as a concern about rules in the parks.

About your story….total crap.
I came to your house because you invited me during a phone call.
I came as a gesture of good will.
What did I do to offend your wife? Thats ridiculous!!!! Youre the one telling lies Tom.

If I didnt want someone to come to my home, I would just tell them so. I wouldn’t make lame threats like that. But I guess that’s just how you operate.

BTW – you lied about why you made the threat. It was because you were flaming the hell out of Miles and I called you on it.

Very true.

I think you guys should saddle this once for all.

I got an idea.

We set a cage right on the visitor center at TF.

At the right corner TA and at the left corner JU. The only rules are no biting, and no testicles hitting anything else is permitted.

Last BASE jumper standing wins and the defeated can't talk shit about the winner anymore.

What you guys think?

The skydiving world is small, you could call it a community.

The BASE world is tiny, you could call it a household.

Don't fight with your brother.

You are both very valuable members of the BASE jumping family.

Open offline conversation is the way forward.

I have tried that. The last email Tom A sent me was very nasty whereby he insulted me and my family.
