crapflinger2000 1 #26 April 30, 2004 Put a lot of jumps on a sabre 150 back in the day... yeah, I had a few brisk openings, but through careful packing I never got spanked again. Follow all the instructions in the packing supplement that comes with the canopy... works fine... the extra minute or two added to your pack job to ensure you are folling all the recommendations should not be too much of a problem to live with. __________________________________________________ What would Vic Mackey do? bigtim 0 #27 May 4, 2004 Ditto here... Had one killer slammer opening, (the kind where you hear somebody scream and then realize it was you).....then I went and read what PD had to say about packing Sabre's on their web site. Implemented their suggestions in my packing procedures...3 years later (knock on wood), have yet to get spanked like that again. To each his own but I still jump my Sabre because I don't have a reason to get rid of it yet. I'll check out the new canopies when I wear out this one. I'm sure I'll enjoy the new technolgy stuff as well.
kaotik 0 #28 May 4, 2004 fyi dropped a mail to PD , got 2 answers back the same day from their service/marketing people, who offered me their help. Good from PD, it's something I like, at least they show interest in the problem
TomSpoon 4 #29 May 19, 2004 [ ........by the time Tom was jumping them they were older technolgy and better alternatives were on the market and the Hard openings were already documented..... Skybeergodd, How is it you know when I first jumped a Sabre? Even I had to look in my logbook. It was 1990 by the way.
