JENNR8R 0 #1 October 7, 2005 Does anyone know if there is good cell phone reception at the New River Gorge Bridge Day event? Let me know what carrier you use if you have had good or bad reception there in the past. This will be my first year attending the festivities. What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

TomAiello 26 #4 October 7, 2005 I've had good service there with both T-Mobile and AT&T. I've got Verizon now, so I guess I'll find out about that one this year.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

base428 1 #9 October 7, 2005 Not to deviate, but the Holiday Inn Oak Hill has free internet this year (unencrypted 802.11b/g). I thought you techies might want to bring your laptops. Maybe I'll set up a webcam at the Holiday Inn and we can geek the camera all day?(c)2010 Vertical Visions. With the price of gas now I would imagine it a lot more. NickD BASE

If not, I'll just have to suck it up. Oh well...
 rpersi 0 #15 October 7, 2005 T-Mobile stinks in this area. Anyone else needing a ride then, email me and I'll try to assist. Otherwise, stick out yer thumb and hitchike. Some redneck will gladly let you ride in the back of his 79' Ford pickup. A taxi would be VERY expensive. Cya QuoteAnybody driving up from Charleston late Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and interesting in splitting gas? Jaap(c)2010 Vertical Visions. I called my carrier, Cingular, and asked them if they had coverage in Fayetteville, WV. They don't, but they do use towers from other carriers. If you have free roaming, you should be able to use your Cingular phone there with good reception.
 0
