Base733 0 #1 November 4, 2005 Okay, don’t shoot the messenger here but this is a great new Canadian study that does, contrary to what you naysayer might think, have direct BASE application. Check out http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/10/1013_051013_cannabis_2.html especially the part that says: “…may relieve depression and anxiety and improve memory as well.” How many times have you been at exit when you buddy says; “dude I’m really nervous” or “dude I forgot the cell phone/radio/helmet/body armor etc.” Those anxieties and bouts of forgetfulness may be a thing of the past with the proper application of enough cannabinoids. Well, off to field test…
gweeks 1 #2 November 4, 2005 I did a study to compare use of the word "dude" at exit point versus normal conversation. I found that the test subjects, myself included, are up to 10 times more likely to use the word "dude" at exit point than in normal conversation. An interesting side observation, which I haven't yet quantified, is that use of the word "dude" during a mission is directly proportional to proximity to the exit point. Somehow, I think throwing cannabinoids in the mix would dramatically skew the results of my study in favor of "dude" usage.

TomAiello 26 #5 November 4, 2005 I generally read these forums in one window with multiple tabs. So, I'll have one tab open to read this post, say, and another open to my PM inbox. The tabs have a little title header across them so I can keep them straight. Right now, for example, I'm posting into a window with a tab that says "Related Sports: The BASE Zone: Reply to post." The only other tab I have open right now is a PM from a friend of mine. It reads "Forums: Message: Dude".-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

Base733 0 #8 November 4, 2005 Dudes- I’ve been researching and field testing all day and have to apologize that I may have jumped the gun on this issue. According to this article I just found on the study in question http://www.medpagetoday.com/Neurology/GeneralNeurology/tb/1934 The test; “…does not involve smoked or ingested marijuana, but rather a synthetic compound dubbed HU-210, which Dr. Zhang said is 100 times as powerful as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound responsible for the highs experienced by recreational users.” Now, several question are raised by this such as does recreational use of THC do anything for neurons and, more importantly, were can I get some of that HU-210?!?!? Come on Dr. Zhang, hook a brotha up! Later dudes, back to testing…
