Why I love my employer...

Recommended Posts

When I asked them recently...

To reiterate and stress the most extreme case, just to be certain; imagine the hypothetical scenario where I trespass (illegally) onto a construction-site, climb to the top of the crane, jump off with a parachute, then brake my arms and legs because of an unfortunate landing, rendering me unable to work for six months... am I covered for this to the same extend as a person who would break his arm and legs just stumbling when he steps of a sidewalk?

Their reply, in writing, from their healthcare and insurance expert was...

***...as far as the legalities go about trespassing while you are doing it, I can't comment on the legal ramifications, but as far as any injuries that occur goes, you would be covered for those.

Effectively my disability fund or life-insurance will pay out even if I were to injure myself or die on an illegal jump into a nuclear facility in south Zimbabwe while under fire from the local guerilla and being chased by the CIA.

Oh, and did I mention they're looking at BASE WIKI as a case study for effective information management within hard-to-align collectives?

By the way; we're hiring... B|

Yeah, I've become pretty pathetic like that. Buzzword-bingo always gets a lot of winners when I'm talking. Sad, sad, sad...

Wow, that seems like a really cool PIMP!

Actually I was talking about my parttime gig. My fulltime gig for Abbie doesn't come with these benefits.

Of course they said it would be all good. I mean they wouldn't have to pay out if you brake your arms and legs, there would be no injury. Now if you were to break your arms and legs would they do the same?:P
