bert_man 0 #3 November 9, 2006 who needs an FJC when you get to start this sport with a bucketful of luck? Try www.snakeriverbase.com or www.apexbase.com. I took Tom's course last year (snakeriverbase) and I think it was great-Ghetto "The reason death cannot frighten me, is because life has cured me of fear." RayLosli 11 #4 November 9, 2006 I don't think 'cheep course' has much to do with it. Personally I would Not like for him to take his time and do things the proper way with instruction from a decent well rounded BASE jumper. Doing jumps over a period of many months and several different BASE objects. If I were him I would just grab the first person with hand full of BASE jumps. Go to Twin Falls and do a few. Then go back home and just Hit it Hard. Quote from a good friend of mine and something I am really starting to believe. " People have been getting away with so much stupid shit. I guess the BASE gods are finally asking for some payments on a really over due account. Fuck it ! We Owe Them, might as well Pay Up with a few unprepared and un-educated jumpers." ..... . . ptwob267 0 #5 November 9, 2006 Some buddies and I went to Tom Aiello's FJC in Twin Falls. He does a great jopb of teaching you not only the basics you need for the jumping aspect of BASE but also about the culture and history of the sport. As far as the jumping goes Tom's course covers the full spectrum of pack jobs needed for different situations (slider up/down, PCA, delays, and stowed), and detailed instruction on the other types of objects. Lastly you can rent gear from him so you can check out BASE before throwing down a couple grand on a rig. He has a website as well www.snakeriverbase.com. Good luck I hope this helps

base283 0 #12 November 9, 2006 Magot does fly free. He gives advice. If you read in the posting guidelines, this (bad grammar and mis spellings) is allowed for advice givers but not for seekers! Ha! take care, space
