tiigra 0 #1 March 19, 2004 Are pilotchutes the same size for pull outs and throw aways?
skygod7777 0 #2 March 19, 2004 mine have been. i've used 24" ones for both. i now used a 28" f-111 for my pull-out. it makes no difference from what i can tell. lata
riggerrob 643 #3 March 19, 2004 Pilotchute sizes are the same for pull-out and throw-out. The difference is in handles and bridle length. Pull-out bridles can be fairly short (5-5 feet) but the current fashion for throw-out bridles is nine feet (for wingsuit).
skygod7777 0 #4 March 19, 2004 my old bridle (pull out) was a 5' bridle, and it sucked. i had some hesitations. so when i ordered my new rig, i had them add 2' onto it. so now i have a 7' bridle (or maybe i just had em add a foot, i can't remember now), anyway i've had no problems with it now and have about 15 jumps on it. lata
