Witold 0 #1 February 18, 2003 I wanted to introduce myself after following the forum for a little while. Basically, right now I'm doing some research because I would like to get my license this summer via AFF jumps. That's the goal. So far, I have a grand total of 0 jumps. Anywayz, I wanted to ask if anyone knows the name (and maybe link) to this one military dropzone that lets friends/family of military guys take their training and get a license. I remember that it was really cheap and took 3-4 weeks to complete somewhere down south. But I misplaced the link to that DZ. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Witold My other hobby is sportsbikes. Here's my bike: http://witold.org/bike/bike.php3

Skydiver4u2 0 #4 February 18, 2003 dont hold me to this but i thought i heard something about that at the DZ located on the Army base in tennesse somewhere? not sure which one. check your search engines for army bases in northern tennesse.Anyone can ride in a plane. But it takes a special person to jump out of it. Skydive for fun. Track for life. Blue Skies.
sarge 0 #5 February 18, 2003 lol!! very sweet scoot! I'm now trying to close a deal on a '02 R1 (under 500 mi) w/graves titanium, Penske rear up-grade, 208's and a few other tweeks... get to the dz even quickerOn the skydiving -side, if you're looking for cheap; skydiving aint the place bro. Fact is, I wouldn't even have a bike if it cut too deep into my jump budget. . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!! Witold 0 #10 February 20, 2003 Thanks everyone! I'm sure I will lurk here alot trying to learn and absorb info. Right now, I'm pretty much looking for a cheap way to get started. Who knows, I might not even like it, though I have that "feeling" that I will love it. :) kydiver4u2: Army base in tennesse sounds right... I think I even found that DZ on this site. I'll probably end up looking through all military DZ in TN region to find it. sarge, that sounds pretty sweet. I'm sure you'll love it. I hear that penske really helps on R1 and 208s are very confidence inspiring. :) BTW, you should check out r1-forum.com if you don't know about it. I actually have an Ohlins prxls and scotts damper at home waiting to be installed and a 520 chain conversion on the way. I can't wait for better riding weather. yardhippie: hahaha... yeah, but I need to keep my bike. When I'm not tearing up the road on the weekends, the bike serves as my commute vehicle.(I have no car... hahaha..) It's definately a faster and a more enjoyable way to get to work each day. skydivejersey 0 #11 February 20, 2003 Don't listen - keep the bike. There's room for more than one addrenaline rush in this world. Need one on the way to and the way back from the DZ!!! I ride a GSX-R1000. Got it new back in 02. Before i got my first rig. At least with a bike you get to use it everyday!!!

IMO, Don't beg out on jumping if the entry cost seems too high, the 'high'-part pays for itself!!! .-- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
