Raefordite 0 #15 March 18, 2003 Wow - 14 days on and 14 days off. What kind of work and work environment are you in?
stilettodude 0 #16 March 18, 2003 I work offshore ( Gulf of Mexico) on an oilrig. We work 12 hrs a day ( sometimes more) and then fly back to land to spend 2 weeks @ home. Its the same cycle over & over. You get enough overtime in the 2 weeks offshore to make up for the 2 unworked weeks! Everything is free on the rig ( food, room etc.) We eat steak twice a week and seafood once a week! The time off is nice but kinda rough if you have a family, ( i have a wife and 3 mean rug-rats lol!) Although i get to spend more time with my family than most men who work at home, i sometimes miss important events ( Christmas, B-days, etc). Gotta go. Philip "HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?" stilettodude 0 #17 March 18, 2003 OOPS! Correction. The time off is "NICE" The time offshore is "ROUGH" If you have a family. My wife would kill me if she read that lol. Philip "HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?"

stilettodude 0 #19 March 18, 2003 All 3 ( Taylor, Skylar & Jody) are doing fine. Skylar (3.5)(my heart) wants to grab hold of me and pretend we are skydiving, every time she sees me! Taylor (9) thinks she is 18. and Jody ( TERRIBLE 2's) that says it all! Gotta Go Philip "HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?"

Raefordite 0 #24 March 22, 2003 Ok - I wouldn't think Mississippi and off shore oil rig in the same sentence. Where is your off shore rig? In the bay?
stilettodude 0 #25 March 22, 2003 I'm in the Gulf of Mexico. You would be suprised how many "MISSISSIPPI DUDES" work offshore. Friede Goldmann Offshore ( i think the name has changed though) located in Pascagoula MS. used to repair and build new oilrigs ( i have seen as many as 10 oilrigs being built or repaired in Pascagoula). And you thought we were just a bunch of hill-billys lol. Be cool Philip "HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?"
