thebeev 0 #1 May 18, 2003 Hey everyone, found out about this site, so I decided to join because I just signed up for AFF. Couple years ago I did about 5 S/L jumps, loved it. Unfortunatly, I got laid off and lost health coverage. Anyway, decided to work the nerve to start AFF because I want to get into the sport. But, my question is how long does it usually take to complete AFF and do you have to complete it in a certain time frame because what will slow me down to advance would be comming up with the money and well of course how well I perform too. Mine was 7 jumps that you had to do within 30 days of each other, or repeat your last level. I experienced skydiving for the first time last summer, and I knew then that it was something I really wanted to do, so I saved all winter for it, and was able to complete it in 2 weeks. They always recommend that you jump at least 2 times every time you go (of course you don't have to). It's a lot of fun, I know you'll enjoy it! I hope this helped (at least a little), and again GOOD LUCK & BLUE SKIES ...Lori
 tetra316 0 #3 May 18, 2003 Hi, and welcome to the crazy world of skydiving. It took me about a month and a half to finish my AFF course, but I also live 2 and a 1/2 hours from the drop zone so I came up about every other weekend. They do recommend that you do your jumps as close together as possible since it's easier to remember and learn that way. Anyways I'm sure they would work with you to see that you get a chance to do it!
 skymama 37 #4 May 18, 2003 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
