kmcm22 0 #1 August 20, 2003 Hey Guys, I did my first tandom jump on sunday and i havent stopped thinking about it. This is something i would be willing to give up my career for; " travel and skydive." Im planning on going back in a couple weeks and i want to get certified. Does anyone know a site i could read up on or if you can tell me what steps are needed to become certified? Thanks guys

Knotfreak 0 #5 August 20, 2003 Same thing here. I did mine on saturday with a buddy of mine. Next step for me is the solo jump. I can't stop thinking about it. It felt great freefalling and tumbling a couple of times. My right contact lens fell out end ended on the goggles. I still get sweaty palms when thinking about the jump. Oh and btw, nice to meet ya all.
 Fast 0 #6 August 20, 2003 Welcome to the forums. I've done 3 tandems (required at my DZ) and I am scheduled for AFF in two weeks as well. The anticipation is driving me nuts, it's worse than Christmas was when I was a kid. I suggest you invest in "Parachuting The Skydiver's Handbook" by Poynter and Turoff, it's a great read and being proactive about my training is helping. All I want to do is jump and I can't get the shit eating grin off my face. I'm just afraid I'm going to be out the door before the jumpmasters and will be doing level 1 twice! Blue Skies!!!
