dkostas 0 #1 August 26, 2003 Hi all--new to this forum. I made my first jump about a month ago (a birthday gift I will never forget) and then my second last Saturday (just to see if I liked it as much as the adrenaline made me think I did...and I did). Made both my jumps at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center in Hinckley, Illinois. My first jump was, by far, the most exhilerating experience I have ever had. Although I was a little nervous before I exited the plane, all of that disappeared as I made my descent. My second jump was a bit more of a challenge in that my JM gave me more control of our fall (i.e., pulling the cord, making the safety check, managing the chute)...but I still find myself reeling from the experience. In reading over some of the posts in this forum, I know I'm not alone in the way this highly addictive sport has affected me. Trying to decide whether to get certified before winter (which is approaching all too quickly in Chicago) or to wait for the spring. Regardless, I think this is something that I plan to invest more time and energy into. The payback is priceless! Dino

Skream 0 #3 August 26, 2003 That sounds like a good idea skymama. I might take that advice too, having made my second jump this weekend as well (I'm weening off radio next weekend! )--- Michael Teator Lexington, Kentucky

Chute 0 #7 August 26, 2003 No I do not have an A license yet. I am just a newbie. I got up to ready for AFF then found other past time like SCUBA because I lost my jump log. I do not want to have to go through the steps from scratch for a third time.Bottomless Beers and Blue Skies! * Brother_Brian * D.S.W.F.S.B. #
