woogirl69 0 #1 September 2, 2003 I just completed the AFP program on Sunday...and am sooo thrilled!! I hope to do my high & low solos on Friday, as long as the weather improves . For some reason, I'm dreading my exit. For the most part I've done pretty good. However on Sunday, my diving exit was all messed up. I was trying to swim for some reason. I think that's kinda what's screwing me up. Is it normal to take sometime tuning your exits up or should I already be totally ready for this??
DeNReN 0 #2 September 2, 2003 Your supposed to be nervous........Thats the whole idea of skydiving...afterall...why would u ever do it......if it didnt make ure stomach knot up.........once uve master the exit....you (and I) will be trying other things that will have the same effect
bkdice 0 #3 September 2, 2003 I remember being so nervous about my exits too after graduating AFF. Especially for my Hop n Pop. But it all worked out. RELAX and trust in your arch. You'll be just fine, and you will look back and say "that wasn't a big deal at all". Exits do take time to learn and get used to - just like all the other aspects of skydiving, so don't sweat it. Diving came easier to me for some reason... something about it felt more natural, I don't know if that makes sense. Most people still learn something on every exit they make.
