rylord 0 #1 September 16, 2003 Greetings to all, I just wanted to introduce myself and post a "Hello" to everyone on here. I recently joined this website and the forums...so I figured I start with a nice intro and a "Hello". I use to jump at Skydive Goshen up in NW Indiana, and recently relocated south to the "Bluegrass" area of central Kentucky. My new home DZ is Kentucky Skydiving Center (KSC) located in Frankfort, KY (awesome place to jump!!!). Anyways...this site looks like a great website and my new online DZ!!!. Have fun...and Blue skies! Rylord Kentucky Skydiving Center

rylord 0 #6 September 17, 2003 QuoteInteresting choice for your photo Yeah..yeah...it was my first ripped canopy which I ended up riding all the way down and landing safely. Even though it had a hole ripped in the middle....it was square, stable and steerable...just a bit faster on the descent! When I safely landed...the DZO came running over and he was shaking from head to toe...he was so nervous and surprised I rode the thing all the way down instead of pulling the reserve. I remember him standing there shaking and offering me a nice cold bottle of water (hot day)...his hands were shaking so bad...I felt sorry for the guy. After looking back and reflecting on it...I should have definitely chopped it and pulled the reserve instead of taking the risk!
