HazelRichardson 0 #1 October 28, 2003 Hi all, I've just started Skydiving at Border Parachute Centre in Northumberland. I've now completed eight static line jumps and I've been told my exits are still a little weak but that's something to work on. I must say that the staff at the centre have made me and my husband most welcome and I would like to thank them for all their help, guidance, encouragement and support. At work I'm known as a quiet person who wouldn't say boo to a goose but since they found out I'm jumping out of planes, people seem to view me a little differently now, perhaps they just think I'm mad but they don't know what they are missing. AggieDave 6 #2 October 28, 2003 Now you should wonder the halls at work talking to yourself and having conversations with the A/C controllers on the wall...that'd be funny, very fun to screw with your co-workers.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I had to laugh at this remark, because it is exactly who I am, and people really cannot believe I would do such a thing! sdgregory 0 #7 October 29, 2003 Funny, everyone at work thinks I have lost my marbles too. But every Monday at least one person comes over to my office and says, so how many this weekend? I think deep down they are closet skydivers. Really. Even if they would never admit it. My plan? Lead them out of the closet one at a time! Welcome to the forums and lala land!
