apoil 0 #3 April 14, 2004 QuoteLooking for info on this canopy. How does it fly? Swoop? Yes. not sure your experience level, but the manufacturer recommends a MINIMUM wing loading on the Blade of 2.0 If that's not where you're at, then consider the Nitro, perhaps the best 9cell elliptical on the market. In many ways safer than non-ellipticals due to it's superior slow flight characteristics and incredible flare power.
Emu 0 #4 August 20, 2012 Thread ressurecion time..... I managed to do some jumps on a Blade 120 and 108 this weekend. Nil winds all day. Loading at 2.1 and 2.3 respectively. Current canopy is a Cobalt 120. The canopy fabric is thick and easy to pack. The steering lines are fat and a pain in the ass to get your slider over. Slider design uses little toggles which I dont think are neccesary. Mesh on end-cells and hot-dog winglets on the topskin are quirks that are on all HIPER canopies. Openings: Fucking sweet. Butter soft and only had one turn 90 degress. All other on heading. Pack job was standard shake n wrap. Flight: Stiletto-like turning speeds. Very sensitive to harness inputs and a lot of fun.Riser pressure is easy to deal with. Landing: Recovery arc is similar to a Crossfire2. Carries much more speed . Lots of bottom end. In short really fun canopies to fly.
