raftman 12 #7 March 30, 2004 Welcome to the sky. It starts with the little stuff: you quit buying CDs, expensive lunchs, ya know impulse buys. They add up to jump tickets. Later when your TV or VCR and AC goes on the fritz, do you fix it? Hell no! You order that new container. Need a new car? Yeah me too. But first, i'm gettin that new canopy. Computer or camera helmet? Camera helmet wins. Be prepared. You'll sell your soul too. Family and whuffo friends, you'll never see on weekends. Mum will call "You ARE coming to easter dinner this Sunday aren't you?" "UHHH sure, Mum, if the weather is crappy". Pretty soon they quit calling. But the DZ is always there. The bond with your skyfriends is diffrent and stronger than most. Some stay in the sport for a lifetime, others for a months or years, then they move on. Have fun and keep your mind open. It is a truely awesome sport. Blue skies............and all that other stuff

CerealKilla 0 #10 March 31, 2004 Selling plasma..I think I just got a shout out ! Look at it this way, plasma regenerates, so you have a constant source of jump money Confuscious say: "It take many nail to make a baby crib...but only one screw to fill it." nael 0 #12 March 31, 2004 I am starting AFF this weekend, I've already sold 57 cds, and at the moment I'm thinking of selling my car to buy a rig. I wouldn't do it for the next couple of months, but I love my car (I wanted the exact car I have now for 4 years before I got it!), but if I sold it, after I pay the loan back to the bank, I'd have about $4000 left which is enough for what I need for skydiving at the moment. I have 3 jobs at the moment, all of the money from the 2 part time jobs is going to skydiving, as is some of the money from my full time job! It's damn expensive! Good luck with whatever you find to sell!www.TerminalSports.com.auAustralia's largest skydive gear store
freeflynate 0 #13 March 31, 2004 This sport is like Crack Cocaine. That is the best way I can explaine what skydiving has done to me. I'm always thinking about how or where I am going to get cash for my next lil fix. Every min of the day, you start to day dream about jumping.......Anyway, welcome to the family and to the forum. Nate You dont need a parachute to skydive, but you will need one to skydive twice.
