Huha 0 #1 April 15, 2004 Hello to everybody here... I've been coming here from time to time for a while, but lurking so far only. I've found a post that I can sorta relate to, so I've decided to get out of the closet . I'm 29, live in Zagreb/Croatia and jump mostly at the Lucko DZ near Zgb. The rest is in my profile... Huha 0 #3 April 15, 2004 Thank you. Yup: there are some spectacular mounatins along the shore (just started hiking a year or so ago, and got hooked), and the islands are beautiful too... Regards, Huha (>o<-<

Huha 0 #7 April 16, 2004 Thank you... In my club, the member price for 2700 m out of a C-185 is ~11 $ IIRC; next door in Slovenia the price for 3500 m from a Turbo Porter is 18 €... Regards, Huha (>o<-<
redramdriver 0 #8 April 16, 2004 Huha...wow...cool....was in Croatia last summer for 2 wonderfully beautiful weeks. My wife (and of course all her side of the family) are Croatian. Her Uncle taught at the University in Zagreb. Her parents live near Vodice/Sibenik. We plan on returning again in the next 2 or 3 years again for a summer vacation and will again try to get some jumping in while I am there. But, Zagreb is about 400kms from Vodice. So we allready know we are looking at a overnight thing. Hope the weather is great, the in-laws just got back home from NYC (the other residence) yesterday! Enjoy your self here on dz.comSo, you bring your beer? Its 5 o'clock somewhere POPS #9344
Huha 0 #9 April 17, 2004 Thank you, I most cerainly will. I was browsing yesterday through the "Safety and Training" and "Gear and Rigging" sub-forums for a few hours: since I've just changed from throw-out to pull-out I was looking for opinions, tips & tricks, dos-and-don'ts... This forum is a goldmine of info. I'm glad you liked it in Croatia. Well, if You'll be staying in Vodice, AFAIK the closest DZs are Grobnik near Rijeka and Lucko near Zagreb. But since You'll be back in Croatia in 2-3 years, the situation might change (dunno in which direction though )... The weather has actually been terrible for the past couple of weeks, and is supposed to continue that way for a week or so more: just got back from Lucko, where I've had just a cup of coffee .
