gman86 0 #1 September 29, 2004 Howdy All! I'm not really a new guy, but I made my first AFF on my 40th birthday, Sept 11th. I jumped USPA static once and USA static five times before. I wanted something memorable for that birthday and I got it. Just some thoughts from the jump: I really didn't feel the sensation of falling as much as I thought I would. I was more scared of forgetting to do something than falling. Jumping out of the airplane quickly reversed thought #2. I can't run 20 mph. I sort of looked down upon tandem jumpers, however after feeling the door open at 14,500 ft, anyone who jumps out of the plane deserves respect. Square chutes land ALOT softer than round chutes. etc... Hope to learn alot from this forum and take my next jump within 2 weeks.

Good luck on the rest of your progression! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
