fallinlady 0 #1 November 8, 2004 Hi all! Just wanted to make a quick intro. My hubby got me a tandem jump for my 40th birthday. I finally got to go on September 4th and I was hooked! 2 Weeks later I signed on for the S/L course and away I went. My first jumps went well but I didn't hit the dz, but the cornfield was a good alternative(?). I made it to my first rip cord pull and it didn't go well. Poised exit went well but apparently I dipped my shoulder so when I pulled, I was on my back. Nothing like watching the pilot chute come up between your legs! I got tangled up in my lines and was upside down until I could get myself out, which I did and then enjoyed the ride down. Hit the dz and landed on my feet. All was well except I hurt my shoulder and haven't been able to make my next jump yet. I am looking forward to getting back even though I am a little more nervous than before. Fortunately, I am more determined than ever to get this right. I will keep you updated on the success stories!**They say you don't pay for your raisin' till you raise your own - what DID my momma do to deserve this?**

fallinlady 0 #3 November 8, 2004 I am looking forward to an "uneventful" jump, but learning early about the stuff that can go wrong will help me to be a better skydiver later.**They say you don't pay for your raisin' till you raise your own - what DID my momma do to deserve this?**
Jeth 0 #4 November 8, 2004 Hi and welcome! You do have a great attitude, that is wonderful! I'm a student, too. I have had my share of frustrating moments, but I can tell you once you figure out how to get stable and fly straight, it's so awesome!! Good luck with your training! MrJones 0 #5 November 8, 2004 Congrats to you! Way to keep a level head and get yourself out of trouble. Its a combination of little things that can get us in trouble or KEEP us out of trouble up there. From your explaination it seems that you know what you did wrong(kudos to you instructor). Heel fast, blue skies. NUR ZUM SPASS
fallinlady 0 #6 November 8, 2004 Thanks for the encouragement! I am looking forward to figuring this out sooner rather than later. Hopefully the weather won't be too much of an issue.**They say you don't pay for your raisin' till you raise your own - what DID my momma do to deserve this?**
fallinlady 0 #7 November 8, 2004 I do have great instructors that have a lot of experience and a lot of stories. They remember their first jumps and help me to laugh off my screw ups because they have all done it too. But they are diligent in helping me to learn from my mistakes. **They say you don't pay for your raisin' till you raise your own - what DID my momma do to deserve this?**
