AlexeiYau 0 #1 November 30, 2004 Hi I'm Alexei, I just started skydiving this academic year, just thought I'd say hi. I go to bristol uni (uk) and do math. I'm on a raps course. I've done 5 jumps so far, and I'm on DPs, (I failed to get my second DP >_< ) so i got 2 more to do still. But the weather is being pants so it may be a while before I get onto freefall. anyway, err. Any tips on getting the DP so I don't mess up again? oh and er Hi. ^_^

AlexeiYau 0 #3 December 1, 2004 a DP is a dummy pull, its like a fake ripcord you pull and show to the jumpmaster while your still on static line, its practice for when you have to pull it yourself.
AggieDave 6 #4 December 1, 2004 Ah, DP...cool. We call that PRCP (practice ripcord pull) in the states (for the places that still have ripcords). Remember something, DZ.com is a great resource, BUT, check ALL information with your instructors before believing it to be fact. No matter how many 1000's of jumps the person has that is saying it.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
