Always wanted to go over there and dive...now I can do both Scuba and skydiving in one trip! How did your jump go? *J*** F LORIDA!
 doddy 0 #10 February 15, 2005 All jumps have been rated well! Im a bit of a perfectionist so i read heaps before i do each stage to make sure i have it in my head what i have to do for each stage. Each jump is just a great rush and i cant wait to get back up. Hopefully i'll be jumping this weekend coz ive been unable to jump for 4 weeks with a leg injury (non related) I'll let ya know how i go. And yes the view is great, but i'll be happy for any view from 14000ft Just remember no scuba and airtime on the same day! I am starting to see that there is a little bit of politics that come with the territory in certain areas. Doddy, Going to the DZ in Palatka this weekend to finish up my AFF. I am so excited! Should be some good weather...Have fun this weekend! *J*** F LORIDA! Had to change to static line due the $$$$ may take longer but at least i'm still flying deltarush
 op5e 0 #15 February 17, 2005 Hi Delta, I do not know how you want to play this. If I could do my AFF again I would have saved up and done it in one big go. Yes you do not get to jump regularly now. But it has cost you less in the long run to get your license and due to muscle memory hopefully you didnt fail as much. Static line may be cheaper but you have to do more jumps, and due to the limited number of DZs in Australia that do it this may cause problems. Also depending on the politics (please PM me or anyone else, instead of posting here) if it is only petty I would suck it up and keep on going. We have very few dropzones in OZ and it does limit your choices if you ignore one DZ. Sometimes I get pissed at my DZ because there are only a few loads because weather or number of jumpers, but then I get to know the people I am jumping with alot better and normally learn alot more. Also it does help mean I get some time to clean up around the DZ. I have not jumped at Ramblers but I hope to jump there soon. A few of my friends fly up there from southern states just to go to the learning curve camps. So this may be another option to you. But sometimes a bit of pain now (not jumping) may mean a better outcome in the long run. Of course this totally depends on your situation.
