JoeG 0 #1 March 28, 2005 Hello overthere! Hi, I just made my first ever skydive on Saturday and I'm AMPED! My boss went for the first time a coupla weeks ago, and he said I HAD to try it. I wasn't at all sure about jumping out of a plane, but he said he'd pay for it, so I went with him to Skydive the Farm, in northwest GA. I have to say, the people there put me right at ease, and I had a great time. I decided on the AFF jump 1 over a tandem after talking to the instructors. I was scared absolutely out of my mind at first, but did my first CoA at 13,000 feet and 3 practice grabs then the second CoA about 9,000. The feeling was NOT what I expected. After I had time to mentally review the jump, I am ready for more! I can't wait to start working on the next jump! Props to everyone at the Farm, I had a wonderful time and will be back next weekend, weather permitting. Anyhow, I just wanted to stop by, since I have been lurking, and officially say hello. I am a 30 year old data and networking systems installer, and my other interests are scuba diving, snowboarding, and heli-boarding. I like my scuba deep and clear, my snowboarding deep and steep, and my heli-boarding however I can get it. Not sure about what I want out of skydiving, except to have fun, yeah! If you happen to be at skydive the farm this weekend coming up, look for me! I have a shaved head and a cooler full of beer for when the sun goes down. ~joe~_________________________________________ "Knowledge is Power!"

JoeG 0 #7 March 30, 2005 Heya Mark! Thanks again for a great time the other day. I have watched my video like 100 times and have been looking at where and when I screwed up, so I hope to be a bit better this time, especially with my legwork (yikes!). I probably will only be able to get 1 jump this weekend due to needing to replace an axle on my car (damn cv-boot tore) so im gonna be a bit broker than I expected, but screw it - ill do 1 class anyhow, and I think Bill and Karen are still coming and going to do a jump each, although I don't know for sure about that. Can't wait to get there - my car is already packed and rdy to go Thanks for the welcome! ~joe~_________________________________________ "Knowledge is Power!"
