EMSchick98 0 #1 April 22, 2005 Hello! Well tomorrow will start my addiction. I have my first AFF class and jump I already know I am going to be hooked!!! (I will keep you all informed as to how it goes). Cross your fingers for good weather in Georgia (suppose to be windy)! I am going to Georgia Skydiving Center and so far it seems great. The guy I have been talking to is soooo patient with all my questions. Well just wanted to say hi, so hi! Good luck and have fun.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
 Nickkk 0 #5 April 23, 2005 Good luck!!!! :) What do you do when someone throws a big planet at you? During my AFF waited all day long for the winds to die and got 3 in one late afternoon, so don't give up, it's fun just to hang.
 tigerclaw 0 #7 April 23, 2005 Hi there and WELCOME! Like Flyangel said, don't worry 'bout the weather. I only have five jumps but it's not for lack of effort. The sky/work/stuff/ doesn't seem to cooperate... The point is ( from rookie to rookie) There WILL be days you can't jump, for whatever reason. But you will be able to learn SO much at the DZ from your "Senior Classmates" and Instructors. If you ever get grounded due to weather, there's a pretty good chance there is someone around who is willing/able/qualified to teach you something else you will need a bit further down the road. I have had the good fortune to learn GROUND Training for Categories C, D, and a bit of E while waiting for better weather...I love hanging out at my DZ. ( Hooray for Skydive Orange!!!!! ) but I hope you'll have better weather than we do Whether I'm watching more senior jumpers flare, or pack, I'm always picking up something useful. I've found this sport to be addictive and one thing I've heard from everyone, with no exceptions so far... is that no matter how many jumps you have, you'll always be learning. So bottom line from Mr. Overtalkative, enjoy every trip to your DZ even if ya don't get up there in the air. Blue Skies!
