CBRnick 0 #1 August 8, 2005 Hi all. Im going to Lillo in Sept to do my AFF, then assuming all goes well Ill be joining my closest dropzone in the UK at Headcorn. I have a few friends that have around 300 jumps each who are already members there. Ive got a dvd of a club member doing her AFF levels, and some instructional dvd's on flying the canopy etc. Other than watch them over and over again so that Ive got slightly sell to absorb in Lillo, are there any tips or information that anyone can give me that might help me in advance of my AFF. I cant wait now. The days seem to be going past real slow.

SkyDane 0 #4 August 9, 2005 Hi! Congrats on going to Lillo. It's a great place. Did my AFF there in june. My advice would be: Try if you can to get Pablo as your instructor. He was my instructor and he was great, very laid back (I'm sure the others are good instructors too, but I know Pablo is) And then: Just enjoy (hard not to... )

I used to run white water in a kyak for fun and I remember sitting at the put in point looking downstream thinking 'Im going into THAT !!!...' Kind of feels the same sitting in front of the tv watching all the videos made by my friends that already jump. Im going to do THAT!!.. Im just counting the days now. I cant wait :)

CBRnick 0 #8 August 25, 2005 QuoteIf ya can run class 4's jumpin ' is just a step away There is not THAT much grade four water easily reachable in the UK, but Ive managed some. The Etiv, the Orchy and the Tae in Scotland are the Tre Welyn (think I spelled that wrong) in Wales are the biggest rivers Ive run. A few grade 4 stretches in there. I getting into squirt boating before I started to drift into other things. But hey, thats another forum :) I guess I just like doing things that scare me a bit. Maybe this will be the one that holds me :) I hope so, Im getting enough butterflies and I like the community :)
