Peej 0 #2 August 24, 2005 Hey man, Let me start with a welcome to the forums Now let's try and answer the rest of your questions: There is a button, on the main page i think, that says: "Drop Zone Locator". You clould click on that and start there in your search for a home Drop Zone. I've heard that skydiving in Germany is rather pricey though so you might even consider taking some time and heading to a place like Empuriabrava in Spain to do your training there. The most popular methods of learning to skydive are Static Line or AFF - Accelerated Free Fall, do a search in the "Safety and Training" forum and you'll find lots of discussions on the best way to go. In my opinion AFF is the best way to go. It costs a little more but is the quickest way to get a license. As for the number of tandems I'm not sure what the rules are in Europe but here in South Africa we don't require that students so them before starting AFF whereas in the US most places do. Otherwise most of the info you're looking for will be found in the "Gear and Rigging" forum and "General Skydiving discussions". Using the search function will save you a lot of time too. Feel free to PM me any other questions you might have. Have fun around here and let us know how your quest to become a skydiver is going! skymama 37 #3 August 24, 2005 Welcome to the forums! Contact the dz you did your tandem at and see what program they offer for training. Basically, you'll be doing a ground school, about 8 jumps with instructors (or they may have static line training over there) and once you pass you'll be on your own.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Eule 0 #6 August 25, 2005 You might also want to visit the "Stammtisch" forum on this site. It's in German and you should be able to talk to a lot of skydivers in Germany. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?forum=28; EulePLF does not stand for Please Land on Face.
