climbandjump 0 #1 October 19, 2005 Hi Guys, I'm a total NEWB when it comes to jumping. I've only done it once but really fell for the rush and want it in my life BIG TIME.I've been climbing for 5 years now and reckon we guys have a lot in common, great to see the merger with rockclimbing.com happen. Anyhow, I was thinking of going to California the begining of next year to gain my A - License. Anybody jumped in Perris? Anyone know is that near Joshua Tree? I want to 'do' my A-License in two weeks. IS that enough time?.. As you can see I'm a total virgin..Hey maybe I could meet up with some jumpers and take them climbing? Cool idea I think
Peej 0 #2 October 19, 2005 Hey there! Welcome to the forums! Perris Valley rocks dude, i spent 40 days there and managed to do 160 odd jumps. I can't see you having a problem with completing your A in 2 weeks. Get in touch with the school there and find out if you can book your coaches time before you arrive. Have fun! skymama 37 #3 October 19, 2005 Welcome to the forums! If I was there, I'd totally hook up with you to go climbing! When the time is closer, I bet you'll be able to get some takers if you post a thread in Bonfire. That's where most of the Perris peeps hang out.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

MrJones 0 #5 October 25, 2005 WELCOME to tthe sport!!! California would be a great place to get your "A". I got my "A" in four weekends(8 days at the DZ) but with the weather gods on my side. If you pick the right two weeks should not be a problem. Joshua tree National Park is very close to Perris and Elsinore. 10 freeway toward Palm Springs. Good luck NUR ZUM SPASS

I have a new set of shoes I need to break in and a Black Diamond rig that has 6 climbs on it. As far as Joshua Tree..that is like an hour and a half from me...great place. Anyway, welcome to therush of a lifetime...definately perfer the sky to the rock, but why not have the best of both worlds. See you in the funny pages. ...Happiness is just a drool away....mmmmm....
