cvfd1399 0 #1 May 3, 2004 I was reading in a rig manual today and came across this chemical which was the only thing recommended by the maker to be used for spot cleaning on any part of the rig or canopy, other than soap and water. Ever heard of it?

cvfd1399 0 #3 May 3, 2004 Ok I remember seeing it now on pre-plans for some dry cleaning businesses that we respond to. So is it commonly used on rigs?
Cloggy 1 #4 May 3, 2004 Is this an old manual?? Nothing else you can use? Tetrachloroethylene (PER) is possibly causing cancer (no great risk associated) and has some neurotoxic effects: not something you want te mess with too much. There is a daily limit workers can be exposed to.
cvfd1399 0 #5 May 3, 2004 It is for a rig made in 1992.
