Saw 0 #1 June 13, 2006 Hiya'all! You can count one more in, and yes... that'd be me. After 3 years of finding every excuse not to do it, I bit on my tongue last week end and did a tandem jump in Wiltz-unpronounceablenamewithalotofzchsxs in Luxembourg. 12000 feet...didn't think much up there, I hink i almost pulled my instructor out of the plane (I rocked out at 2,5 instead of 3).... sun/ground/sun/ground/sun/ground... then RUUUSH!!! I haven't been able to think about anything else since sunday (truth to be told... i almost fell asleep on the dentist chair yesterday, and i used to have a real dentist phobia). I *think* my next jump is scheduled for the 25th in Spa (Belgium). I blame Malta_dog and StSanta for getting me into this... Join me in my "no clouds" petition! skymama 37 #2 June 13, 2006 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Saw 0 #3 June 13, 2006 Thank you skymama! I don't think so... I figured the next step would be a SL jump? (You tell me hehehe... I'm the noob here). I have to admit I am scared sh***ess at the thought of jumping on my own, but well... I can't go holding hands my entire life now, can I? :D This is VERY NEW to me, I am reading up on the various techniques... and I'm already dreaming about flysuits... skymama 37 #4 June 13, 2006 Tandem, static line or AFF are your options. If you want to be a skydiver, you're going to have to do it unattached from someone else sooner or later. Might as well do it on your next jump and get it over with! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Dolph 0 #7 June 16, 2006 Welcome Saw. I know ya from "The Other Forum", where bailing out is something done when the flying hasn't been succesful . Check out http://www.skydiving.org.vt.edu/goodstuff/dictionary.htm for a somewhat decent list of acronyms.
