Lucky123 0 #1 July 5, 2006 Made my 15th and 16th jump this weekend at Mile-Hi Skydiving on Colorado. What a wonderfully fun sport. Currently putting together my own rig just need a main and a AAD. Sister was Airborne and my brother was a Special Forces Halo jumpmaster so I figured I would follow the family tradition. My brother is still in the Special Forces but is now a Doctor. Visited him in Seattle last month and was able to check out the new Halo rigs and even jumped on a canopy flight simulator! Landed on a aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean! Made my first tandem jump last year on Father's Day. Look forward to jumping with you all! Blues!
Peej 0 #2 July 5, 2006 Welcome to the forums! Your sister was Airborne? That's hard core dude! Glad you've decided to join us in the sky and here on the net. Take care PJ Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
skymama 37 #3 July 5, 2006 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Lucky123 0 #4 July 5, 2006 That's funny you should ask. I have been hounding them both about some day doing a 3-way together. I'll make sure it happens someday! That will be one sweet jump!
Guest #5 July 12, 2006 Hello! So you're just starting out too over at Mile High. Cool! Me too! Wow, Airborne and Spec Ops? That's cool! Im in the AFROTC program and hopefully will either get in their Spec Ops or Pilot...who knows. I know I'll go to Airborne training. Ugh, that'll be tough. Cheers! Lucky123 0 #6 July 12, 2006 Hey Jeff, Look forward to meeting you at the DZ. When we are both off student status we will need to do some jumps together. Good luck with AFF and the AFROTC. It's been slow going for me but I always make sure I get a few jumps a month. I'm putting together my first rig and only need a main and AAD. I can't wait to get it all together and make more jumps. Guest #7 July 12, 2006 Yea, I'm working on a rig for me too...stuff is pricey! Haha...I got a good deal on my altimeter from the classifieds on this site. I still may buy the rest, but Justin over at MHS is helping me put one together for the time being...I don't really want to rent gear cause its a tad pricey. I mean 4 jumps, that's 100 bucks towards a rig. Are you doing the coached jumps now? Hopefully I'll start those next weekend...assuming I pass AFF this wkend, lol. Lucky123 0 #8 July 13, 2006 Yeah i'ts not cheap. I need to talk to Justin as well, I don't even know who he is yet but I have heard about him. I have not done any coached jumps yet, just solo's and one 2-way with a friend, but I do have a few weekdays coming up at the end of the month and I plan to do a few. I'll be at Mile-Hi on Saturday, maybe I will see you there.
MissyOutTheBox 0 #9 July 22, 2006 Did Someone say, "Beer"? lol. That is pretty cool your family skydives.. My parents and sister did the pilot route. They tease me about ditching out of a "Perfectly Good" airplane all the time.... Just saw the words First Post - Beer and it caught my eye.. Bought several bouts myself and I am sure will buy more. Good Luck putting the rig together, as I am a mere student, I still have some time to save for one.... Have always wanted to be a social butterfly but now I have the wind beneath my feet. Lucky123 0 #10 July 23, 2006 That's pretty cool your parents and sister are pilots. I would love to fly a plane, maybe someday. Good luck with your future jumps.
MissyOutTheBox 0 #11 July 23, 2006 Mom and Dad were. Dad is working on his blood pressure as we speak to get his FAA physical current.. My sister got a 2000.00 flight scholarship from Civil Air Patrol and started the pilot training.. As she went into teaching she still has to finish..She will probably have to redo everything when she does..You know how that goes.. Me I just like jumping out of them and the "BEER"!!! Have always wanted to be a social butterfly but now I have the wind beneath my feet.
