amy1975 0 #1 September 5, 2006 Hey everyone whats up? OK so heres whats going on i'm getting ready to go do my second jump the first one was just awesome and i can't wait for my second one in just a couple of week's. I have heard that the second jump some people are more nervous is this true? It seem's that your first jump would have gotten rid of the fear at least you know what it's about the second time around and wouldn't be as scary, or nervous. If some people are more nervous on the second jump, maybe it's because they now know what to expect, and remember it all too well! Myself, I trusted my tandem pilot and looked forward to my second tandem. I got the extra bonus of landing that jump in the the DZO's sub-division where a party was planned. pfloyd 0 #5 September 15, 2006 I did only 2 tandems because I asked the instructor to tell me why and how he did everything as we went through the jump, freefall and landing. So he really talked about a lot of things as we did it. When I got to the ground I was VERY comfortable with the whole process and really wanted to be in control of all the variables myself. So I signed up for AFF and I am two jumps into it right now. Saturday will be my 3rd AFF jump and I cant wait. But I will tell you the hardest part is jumping out of the plane. Still after 2 tandems and 2 aff jumps its a little nerve racking, but once I am in freefall everything else in the world disappears except for the will to save my own ass if you know what I mean, I love it. Good luck to you, and I hope you dont do any more tandems unless you really need to. Its about comfort. Blue skies!
