bodypilot90 0 #1 May 8, 2004 would you put a d-bag from say, a Javelin in a Mirage? Assuming same pack volume.
betzilla 56 #2 May 8, 2004 Personally, I'd stick with the one the manufacturer provides for use with the container. Other people have other opinions of course... You do mean MAIN d-bag, right? -B
VectorBoy 0 #3 May 9, 2004 I would if I had too. They conform to the shape of the container anyway. I've even rotated my D-bag 90 degrees up for birdman deployments. I would also be willing to use the berger bag in most rigs. Be carefull this may not work with every bag in every container. Get some rigger help. riggerrob 643 #5 May 9, 2004 Master riggers are permitted to exchange similar TSOed components. There are a dozen compatibility questions involved in swapping d-bags, a long way from illegal, just complex. Do they have similar width? ... similar length? ... similar thickness? ... similar volume? ... similar bridles? ... similar line stows? Best consult your local rigger.
