Mark999 0 #1 October 30, 2006 Hi there - just saying a quick helloGreat forum, loads of info - a bit about me.... 29 years old form Birmingham UK, did a tandem jump 2 months ago at Hinton airfield and thought it was amazing! That feeling when you exit the plane and drop like a stone took my breath away......well the whole thing did really.... Have just been doing some research into AFF courses which I'm keen to start asap. This has lead me to be considering an AFF course at the Free fall University at the end of November in Ocana Spain. I'm finding out what the weather will be like at that time of year as I don't want my impatience to get in the way of the jumps!

skymynci 0 #5 November 2, 2006 hi..I'm from the UK too...don't even talk to me about the weather...I'm doing my AFF in Norfolk (just passed my level 6) and completely love it....do it, do it, do it!!! Don't actually mind waiting for gaps in the weather as it gives me time to practise and means I'll be super confident - gulp!?- come Spring...It also gives my aching legs a chance to recover! Good luck with everything X Blue Skies"I don't mean to harass you, but I was very impressed with the capable and stylish manner in which you dealt with that situation. And I was thinking to myself, now this girl's special..." M Renton
skyflygirl1 0 #6 November 3, 2006 Hello Mark, I'm a newbie too and have had lots of advice already, check out my thread on Aff v's S/L. Have found out one very useful thing which is if you're thinking of doing your Aff abroad you should only use a BPA affiliated drop zone so your qualification will transfer easily over here. Skydive Spain in Seville and Empuribrava are the only two I know of in Spain that are. have heard a slightly dodgy review about Oceana, but just what I've been told, have no facts to back it up. Good luck wherever you end up. Oh and the Seville deal at the mo is flights, accom, and Aff for £1100- again, just what I've been toldFear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
