skymama 37 #7 November 7, 2006 QuoteOk so I'm going to ask the ugly question... how does everyone afford to do this so often.. at least for now this is one heck of an expensive hobby. A tax refund paid for my training and I got a second job to pay for my gear. I also got the cash for 2 jumpsuits by selling old clothes at a consignment shop. Now, I bargain shop, do without some luxuries and budget so I can jump, but I never jump on credit. Everything is a trade-off. A few months ago when I had to buy $600 worth of tires, I could only jump a few times that month. You just find a way to make it work, but I wouldn't recommend going into debt for skydiving. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Credit is a truely bad way to do it, have seen guys with so much debt it'll take a life time to pay off. I'm doing it the old fashioned way, save save save and save some more. That's why I won't be starting till next year, hopefully. . . .Fear is Temporary, Regret is Forever! www.myspace.com/byasa
