Just another introduction...

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, my name is Sean and I'm a student at WMU. I skydived for my first time (tandem) over the summer and immediately bought a second jump.

I am saving up money now so I can get my A license this summer. My home dz is Skydive Chicago, and I haven't decided if I am going to stay here in Michigan over the summer and switch dz's.

I just wanted to introduce myself as I have been reading these forums for quite some time now.

Hullo Sean

I'm only a little bit further on than you - I've done two tandems, and on Saturday I passed the first two levels of my AFF course here in England. Just wanted to wish you luck with the saving - I have blown my 'new kitchen' fund on my AFF course and don't regret it in the least! I'm quite sure that I shall never have any 'spare' cash again! Keep saving though, and all the best for your course when you start.

Smart move, better to save money and do AFF with less time between levels because you won't have time to forget your lessons, become uncurrent, and you'll be less likely to repeat levels. this means you will probably save money, that way you can buy equipment and later a rig! As for money, learn to pack (and get good at it) as soon as possible! Might help pay for some jumps. Blue skies and good luck.

Welcome to the forum! Good luck raising money to get your license. You know, you can always donate various bodily fluids to raise money, as well as selling yourself for medical experiments! If you're resourceful, you should have no problem raising the money you'll need.

Good luck and let us know how it goes

Welcome to the last sport you will ever need my friend!!! Remember that safety is paramount and dont be afraid to ask for advice from veteran skydivers. I've always felt I could get a straight answer from people who know much more then I do on this forum. If you dont know the answer to anything..... ASK, ASK, ASK.... There are people here who have more then 1000 jumps under their belt and can help you if you need anything. It's worked for me.

Stay Safe!!!B|

Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!
