rygon 0 #3 April 22, 2007 hello!!! hope you have a great time with your course. Theres quite a bit to remember at 1st i found but its becomes 2nd nature pretty quickly (especially the hitting the floor part lol...I still have to find a better way of landing)
Kdeliass 0 #4 April 22, 2007 Hi. Yes, what i am most concerned about is wether or not i will be able to control my parachute down to earth. Is the parachute hard to control? Anyway ill let you know how it went if i'll live to tell the tale

rygon 0 #6 April 23, 2007 with a students parachute its going to take quite a bit of input to move around..thats what i found anyway...still made me feel a little unsafe though...im sure i'll feel much better with my next jump. The hardest part i found was locating my pilot chute..kept on looking for it near my ribs instead of my arse. but the rest (like hand signals) i understood and carried out straight away. I was very nervous cos i didnt wanna fuck up but as soon as i jumped that went straight out of the window and i enjoyed myself immensly (even if it took me a couple of hrs to reach that conclusion. im sure you will do fine and keep us up to date how it went
Nikki_vZ 0 #7 April 24, 2007 Welcome! skydiving can be pretty stressful but a lot of fun! like Peej said, just remember to arch hard and as best as you can. arching is very important with static line. For me controling the canopy was so easy, i thought it would be hard, but turned out to be a breeze! Landing can be tricky though, cos in the beginning judging how high you are is kinda hard, but its gets easier with every jump! Just listen to everything your instructor tells you and you ought to do just fine try to get in as many jumps as you can, every few weeks or so of not jumping, you have to refresh your memory. pratice makes perfect! 17 is really a good age to start have fun! skydiving is so worth all the money and time! Kdeliass 0 #9 June 2, 2007 Wee! Today i passed the exams. We drove out to the dropzone to jump, but there was to much wind for us first time students to jump. But it was really funny to watch the experienced jumpers in action. Anyway the course has been really cool so far, cool people, great intructors and my emergency procedure is drilled in. Tomorrow is going to be the big day! Forecast is sun and almost no wind. So we can propably expect 2-3 jumps. I am so looking forward to it, yet I am so nervous Anyway, any last tips before my jumps would be apprechiated! Blue skies! (I'll soon know what that means!)
