kellynsears 0 #1 June 6, 2007 Sup All! A buddy told me about this website & is getting me incredibly close to joining the cool club of skydivers. After reviewing the site I noticed the 3 different ways of entering the sport & I was hoping to get some feedback on which way I should dive in. As much as I would love to just do a tantrum jump just to get the initial rush of jumping out of a plane over with - would anybody suggest going for the AFF approach, which in the long run might be more cost effective. A joke comes to mind: old bull & young bull sitting atop a hill looking down on pasture full of fine beautiful cows.. young says to old bull "let's run down & screw one of em". Old bull laughs & replies "let's walk down & screw em all!"
skymama 37 #2 June 6, 2007 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
wrathchild 0 #3 June 6, 2007 Welcome, I agree with skymama, doing a tandem jump first will really help you get the feeling of a skydive and what's involved. I did 3 tandems in the beginning of my course and it helped me a lot. See you in the sky!
kellynsears 0 #4 June 7, 2007 You know, I just started actually looking into DZ's in my local area so I'm not quite sure which one to choose. But the forum has been kind to inform me of one in CA, & my buddy has told me of one in northern NV. Hey your from FL too huh? Rock on! I'll be back after a few snow seasons
