2nd tandem this saturday.

Recommended Posts

Saturday will, weather permitting, be my second tandem. i am strongly considering doing an AFF course. i am aware of the time commitment which brings me to ask if any of you beautiful jumpin momma's out there have any observations, feelings, experiences to share with me as far as how the commitment affects the fam. i have two young boys at home and work full time so my weekends are pretty sacred to me.

Welcome to the forums! :)
You can manage your time though if your husband is willing to help out. I'd recommend just spending 1 day at the dz per weekend so the kids can still have one day with you. Your jumps numbers will be slow going (like mine), but the kids will know that they are still important to you.

Thank you for the welcome. My weekends are for my boys most of the time. Time for myself is kind of an abstract thought at this point but hopefully skydiving will give me some.

As far as bringing them to the dz. the 4 yr old would love it the 1 yr old just wouldn't get it and would be a handful. I think i will take it one jump at a time. i am not in any hurry.

Heeeey !!!!
I was visiting a local DZ this past saturday and ran into a lady named ASA, who was ( coincidentaly) also making a second Tandem Jump!!!!!! hahaha.. I found her ( you );) to be very friendly and very tuned into the program, and as i recall, she had a real big smile on her face.

When i noticed you, already in a jumpsuit, and with a calm and cool demeanor, I figured that you were a visiting fun jumper with a good bit of experience, and so was surprised to hear that you were making your jump # 2....
well done...
Continued success, as you progress in this great sport......
