Pokerzen 0 #1 August 1, 2007 I'm a first time ever skydiver as of 3 days ago. My wife, my brother-in-law and myself took the jump at 8500' with instructor assistance to stabilize and pull the cord. OMFG!!! My wife and I are now planning a trip to the Skydive Space Centre to make the 18,000' tandem our second skydive experience. From there we'd like to go on to get certified. I love this website ... everything I could want to know all in one spot. Good to meet everyone and I hope I get to know you in the future. Pokerzen 0 #5 August 1, 2007 Thanks for the click-throughs. :) QuoteAwesome! How much ground instruction did you get before jumping? We received 6 hours total on-the-ground training. On the Friday night we trained for 2 hours on basic procedures and what to expect. Day 2 was 4 hours where we covered emergency scenarios and did some simulation work. From there it was up and away! :) Bob and Mary from Grand Bend Parachute were just great! I'm sure they are probably members here but I don't know it yet.
