PhreeZone 20 #1 May 18, 2004 Someone recently pointed out to me a used Viper container for sale on a gear stores site. I don't ever remember reading about the container getting TSO'd. Did I miss that somewhere or how could you sell/jump a rig with no TSO?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
headoverheels 333 #2 May 18, 2004 The manufacturer site doesn't have the link for the manual or order form available. Doesn't look like a true production item to me, but I have seen Flip Colmer jump one. http://www.tridenthc.com/default.htm There's one for sale at: http://www.actionair.com/actionair/usedgear.htm The owners are the same as the would-be rig manufacturer. diablopilot 2 #3 May 18, 2004 QuoteI don't ever remember reading about the container getting TSO'd. It never DID NOT have a TSO. The Viper is a redesign of the Reflex, just like the Vector was a redesign of the Wonderhog.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. As long as a rigger (either FAA or CSPA) says its good to go, and the reserve is in date, then its fine here.

Your Excalibur harness/container was sewn by Flying High Manufacturing before they obtained a Transport Canada Technical Standard Order for their - current production - Sidwinder harness/container. While your Excalibur may have a different container, its harness is almost identical to a TSOed Sidewinder harness. Flying High's TSO only covers Sidewinders. Flying High was the fourth Canadian company to obtain TSO certification. The other Canadian manufacturers were: Parafab, Roger Sport and West Way. masterrig 1 #6 May 19, 2004 Hey, Rob! I have had the pleasure of meeting the folks from 'Flying High'. Really good folks. They produce a really fine product. Real 'sticklers' for detail and some excellent workmanship in their harness-containers. I enjoy visiting with them at the Symposiums. I guess you know, their 'shop', is a converted RR depot!? Just wanted to take the opportunity to put in a 'plug' for those folks and their product. Chuck
