PD Slink installation

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm getting ready to install PD Slinks but I'm not sure should I remove link covers together with connector links and install Slinks with SRC's or should I remove only connector links and have Slinks, link covers and SRC's installed?

I have new Wings container/harness with I think cordura link covers.

Thks

Don't take this the wrong way, but the wording of your questions suggests to me that you should get some help with the installation. I'm not really sure what you are asking anyway. Installing them is easy though, but make sure you do it right.

Can you confirm that you are asking if you should have either:

A:Slinks and SRC's only
or
B:Slinks, SRC's AND link covers.

By link covers I take it you mean the nylon bumpers that go over the metal french links?

If the above is correct, go with A. There is no need for nylon bumpers as well as SRC's - they both do the same job for their respective links. SRC's are for soft links, nylon bumpers are for metal links.

Is that what you were asking?

That was my question, yes, should I keep existing line covers together with SRC's or should I install only SRC's.

Finally, yesterday I took Slinks and install them without line covers, with only SRC's because there is simply no room for both.
