LOSTandCRAZY 0 #3 September 7, 2008 Thanks! Still a LOT to learn..... But, that's what the NEXT 37 years are for. Thanks to Tonee Boan, Clarence McCall, Larry Westby, Jason Whitt, and everyone at Skydive Virginia that I forgot to mention. (Jean-Marie LeGrand, thanks for the video from my FIRST Skydive!) Thanks especially to my family who supports me in all of this. And shouts out to skydivers everywhere. Nice to meet all of you, I look forward to enjoying this sport for many, many years to come!"Get these balls!"
johna.foley 0 #4 September 8, 2008 Sweet Action. My first AFF was supposed to be yesterday, but the hurricane didn't care! Guess I'll just have to jump twice next weekend! Because there's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane.
skymama 37 #5 September 8, 2008 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
LOSTandCRAZY 0 #6 September 8, 2008 Well, I turned 37 on Saturday, so being technically "middle aged" as it were, I've decided that the next 37 years definately will be filled with skydiving. (Not that it has to end there, but I seriously doubt that walker-jumping will ever look as cool as skysurfing...........)"Get these balls!"
377 22 #7 September 8, 2008 Congrats on your AFF!!! I started young (1968) and am still jumping at age 58. There are jumpers in their 70s who are way better than I am. We are so lucky to have many years of skydiving to look forward to. Doubt if it could have been done with round canopies. As you get older you really appreciate the soft square landings.2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
